Terry Irvin
A native Southwesterner, Teresa (Terry) Williams Irvin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Texas at El Paso and is a graduate of the Institute of Children’s Literature. A former journalist and prize-winning poet, Terry’s stories for children have received numerous awards. Among her publishing credits is Let the Tail Go with the Hide, a Southwestern oral history first published in 1984 and now available in paperback. Terry is the mother of five and grandmother of eight. Her creative ambition is to continue to write and publish meaningful stories for children.
Dorothy Whisenhunt
A Certified Decorative Artist, Dorothy Whisenhunt teaches, designs, and publishes Art With Heart instruction books and designs. She won the coveted Decorative Arts Collection Prize Purchase Award in 2007. HeartChild is Dorothy’s first venture into the world of illustration.
